Ms. Hummingbird “Tweet” Is Back with a Positive New Sense of Self and Refined Life Purpose

There are many R&B female singers, but there is only one true influential hummingbird songster with a one of a kind flair, and her name is Tweet. Tweet originally shot up to the top of the billboard charts with her debut album “Southern Hummingbird”.  Her debut album “Southern Hummingbird” reached number #3 on the Billboard 200, single “Oops (Oh My)”, reached #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and #7 on Billboard Hot 100.

After taking time out to gain positive perspective over her life, season R&B singer Tweet has reemerged with two projects in the works EP Simply Tweet and “Soulfully Yours” both to be released soon.

With a renewed mindset, along with redefined personal and professional goals Tweet is traveling on a road of positive self-discovery.

As we all do, the vibrant vocalist has faced her share of life challenges. Most of us know there isn’t a magic wand to eliminate the meaningful unexpected difficulties of life. Life comes with unforeseen curve balls and stumbling blocks.  When the barriers of life hit you hard you can surrender to defeat or take a strong faithful stand and hold on.  Tweet inner strength empowered her to gain from her experience redirect her focus and triumph over trial. Sometimes you have to lose who you thought you were to discover who you truly are- “destiny to become”. Negative experiences in life are a mandatory component of the journey.

Self-discovery often leads to a positive new sense one’s self as well as redefined life’s purpose. It uncovers one’s values and builds up self-worth.   It’s is because of our life experiences we undertake the journey of personal and professional self-discovery.  Not only does this process divulge higher revelation into one’s own personal strengths it also unveils the people whom we chose to surround ourselves with; more importantly people you trust, and consider friends.  The people you choose as friends are a mirror of the inner you.  Self-discovery pushes you to evaluate the people in your life and causes you to foster strength from within to let go of the unhealthy person and/or persons in your life.  The discovery of valuable self-purpose transforms you into the person you are predestined to be.

In life, it is vital that all human beings know their self-worth, both personally and professionally. In order to obtain any form of achievement, you must first identify yourself; know who you are as an individual.

In an interview with Halo-Orangees Tweets , sounds off on , life after R&R “rest and recreation” from music, surviving the rocky road of the music industry , EP Simply Tweet and her newest album  titled “Soulfully Yours” are both to be released soon.

 Author B.L. Brown-Tell Halo-Orangees readers a little bit about Tweet? What’s your passion?photo 4

Tweet – My passion is to do whatever it is God created me to do and what’s pleasing to Him. To love Him, be a great daughter, loving mother/grandmother, friend, and sister. Music is also my passion. I want to continue to help someone by being an open book with my music.

Author B.L. Brown- If you had only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?

Tweet – One word that I would say describes me would be humble.

Author B.L. Brown-You blasted on the music scene on the onset of the millennium. You have worked with musical icons that many artist dream of working with such as, Missy Elliot and Timbaland.
How did it feel to have Missy Elliot and Timbaland believe in you as an artist (take the leap of faith endorse your musical talent)?

Tweet – I had known Missy and Timbarland since 1994 when we all were a part of THE BASEMENT CREW, a Devante from Jodeci family of talented groups. So it felt like being at home with family when we reunited to do music again. I was grateful and very excited.

Author B.L. Brown-You were once a part of the female trio Sugah. Sugah’s unsuccessful attempt to break into the music business induced you into depression. The best rewards in life are created from negative circumstances. What positive rewards were created from this negative experience?

Tweet – The positive rewards were that I was introduced to two awesome women who are still my dearest friends today. I was able to learn a lot about the music business and about perfecting my craft.

Author B.L. Brown-There is no secret the music industry is a cut-throat business whereas one can instantaneously lose sight of who they are as an individual person. What is the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome in your music career?

Tweet – The biggest challenge I’ve had to overcome is finally realizing people aren’t really genuine in the business. I’m a very trustworthy, loyal person but it’s hard to find that in the business. Having thick skin is a necessity. So facing that fact was very challenging.

Author B.L. Brown-What is the biggest misconception about you?

Tweet – The biggest misconception about me is that I’m tall. I’m 5’4 on a good day.

Author B.L. Brown-Are you currently working on new music, single or album? If so what can fans expect more importantly, release date new material will be available for purchase?

Tweet – Right now I’m working on a few projects which are an EP with Charlie Bereal who is one of the producers from all my work. Also I’m completing the album SOULFULLY YOURS both to be released soon. I have a few more things I’m working as well that I will soon reveal.

Author B.L. Brown-There are so many teens still in school as young as 12 years old having babies. This generation of youth are so gung ho “overly zealous” about all things dealing with sex. Social media has created an open platform for youth to feature themselves in provocative photos and other unhealthy behavior. With that being said you at some point decided to become celibate and have successfully maintained this for several years now. What advice can you give to girls, young ladies about sex, holding a high level of self-worth, focusing on getting an education and early career goals?

Tweet – I would tell the young ladies that it’s ok to say NO!!! Everything that looks cool isn’t always cool to do or good for you. Be a leader and not a follower and focus on who and what they want to do/be in life. Love themselves.
Author B.L. Brown-What is your favorite quote?

Tweet – Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
[6] Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. [7] Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Tweet-Don’t expect people to be consistent with you when they aren’t consistent with GOD!!!
